    Hi guys,

Does anybody know of a software that can detect if my current internet connection is via 3G and thus; blocks or warns me every time a video streaming applications starts to download itself.

Like everyone else I have a broadband connection at home where in I use it to the far extents for everything with no problems in bandwidth limits. Unfortunately I'm not that lucky when it comes to mobile broadband where in I can only choose to afford the 1GB per month limit.

Now in order to not exceed that limit and be charged at a premium; I'm hoping to limit myself to the bare essentials and away from:
    - video streaming sites and even those embedded videos.
    - HQ picture sites, etc.

But since I'm human and curiosity strikes a lot; I might just click on that little play button and... trouble. Can anyone recommend a software that can help me?

    Thanks! :)

Meh... Adblock Plus in Firefox can be enabled and disabled pretty quickly. Dont know of anything that will do it on and off by connection type.

Mind you while this is normally for ads you can block all flash content with it.

Only reason i ever started using it was them stupid talking ads that have no way to stop the sound.

I've been using adblock for years of ad free browsing.

That's a really good suggestion.. blocking flash all together using the same add-on. Thanks.

But if anyone knows; I'm still open to suggestions.
