I use Lastpass but it doesn't have option of filling things like job history, reference name, etc.
And it's so cumbersome to input the same big amounts of texts into online application forms every time I apply for a job.

Cumbersome? That little bit of cut-and-paste? Good luck for your job search. With that kind of an attitude, you'll need it.
-
It's not really a little bit of cut and paste. It's rather a lot to be doing the same thing over and over again.
-
I think what he is saying is to write all the info once, save it and then copy and paste each time you fill a new app out.
-
Take it from someone who's filled out probably as many online apps as you in the past four years. Do the cut and paste. That way you are sure of what answers are going into each field. Otherwise you can mess up an answer, which I have done several times.

If it's really that large of a hassle, then use a word document to save pertinent info, then copy and paste it in the appropriate fields. Resumes are a good way around this, but if what you're applying to doesn't offer you the ability to upload one, then this might be your only alternative. I'm not sure how reliable some of the autofill software out there is.
Sites like Monster, as well as employment agencies will help you with the leg work as well. -
Yeah, that. If you don't do it someone else will, and they'll probably get the job...:hi2:

Not really unless the one that made the online job application makes like a pdf form where you can fill in the blank box then you can't. There is also the cut and paste that you can do if the form permits it. Just make a draft somewhere where your info is and then just use that to copy and paste to the online form application. That should be hard to do?? -

I think OP is looking for an autofill function-type program, that's a 'one-size-fits-all' sort of solution. I almost forgot until I read your post that some job applications will not permit copy + paste.
Uploading a resume would be easiest. If nothing else, having one saved as a word document would allow for copy and pasting from it - at least, when available. -
Thank you. Until now I had the references saved at one place but not the work history. Some websites want you to fill out anyways regardless of whether you are uploading resume or not it seems.

Looking for a faster more efficient way to complete a task is admirable NOT a bad attitude. You need to look in the mirror at YOUR attitude.

But bumping a thread that's more than a year old is not.
Is there a way to automatically fill job application forms?
