I had to type some in to navigate earlier, but I'd prefer to keep it empty or desktop only. I don't see any option to clear them.

Yes Nemt, in regedit -
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TypedPaths
& clear all entries except default.
Standard disclaimer - backup registry Before any changes are made to it.
