I'm having trouble getting used to using the address bar as the search bar as well, it's kind of annoying. Is there any way to separate them like in IE7/8 or Firefox?

I'm not even sure if you can get the search bar back into IE9 without getting a separate toolbar installed under it, although I could be wrong. If you can do it without having a secondary toolbar, its probably buried under a few menus.

It's my understanding that you cannot separate the search bar from the address bar in ie9.

    Well that's a bummer.

How about the title bar, is there a way to get the current tab title up there? It's weird having it blank.

Why? There was never any reason whatsoever to have that stupid separate Search Bar in the first place. I think it was FireFox that introduced that idiocy. I never understood what the point of that redundant bar was supposed to be.

Now that I can relate to: Since the space is available, why not use it to display a bit of useful information? Maybe it is possible to put something in that space, and maybe somebody will find a registry hack to do it...

That is the first thing I complaint to them when I first saw the preview. If they want to maximize the screen space, do it like Chrome. Now they are wasting that title bar space.
