I would like to reformat and reinstall XP on my Inspiron 6000 and sell it. Is there a way to install XP so that when the next guy turns it on, it will be like the first time I turned my compter on? Meaning it shows the EULA and asks for the time zone and whatnot

You need a windows oem prinstallation kit which you can download from Microsoft and an OEM CD (or an RIS server, but that would be overkill for you).

You could name it "Owner"

Magic word is Sysprep. It is included on the XP disc.

Basically Minisetup and Reseal should be enough, then computer will ask for basic owner information on next boot.
Is there a way to install XP without naming the computer (i.e. for selling)?
