I'm the Backup and Restore Center, but I can only backup certain files. Is there anyway to copy my entire computer onto DVDs?

Only Vista Ultimate will let you do a full backup - yes, the Vista HP backup really is crippled. You're stuck with having to buy some real backup SW like Acronis:
    http://www.acronis.com/

Here's a free backup program, but it won't allow you to copy the files that are currently in use (usually about 12 files get left behind from my C: drive, but my data partition is copied entirely):

You might as well get yourself an external USB drive while you're at it instead of backing up to DVDs.

I've found personally, usually backing up to optical media is more reliable. If your hdd fails, then you're screwed. But with DVD, you can make multiple backups in case ( I always make 2).
Unfortunately vista's backup is very crippled, and I've heard about tons of problems people have been having with TrueImage, so use at your discretion.
Only other one I know of, would be Norton (yuck).
