I ran across a nice page in Microsoft's site to help folks make sure their system is set for the new daylight savings time schedule.

Don't ya just love how the fed made this change to "save" us all money and (yeah right) energy.
One of the benefits of working for yourself...you get to live by whatever clock you want to...so I am staying on standard time, even if my computers all decide differently.![]()

Finally took care of this. Thanks.

Pretty sure my computers will do it auto...
but I always use day light savings time as an excuse to be late (at that period of time change).

We don't participate in the out-dated practice of Daylight Savings Time here in Arizona. That's not to say that I won't be affected by this though. Thanks for the post.

It says Vista users aren't effected.

They moved DST forward by three weeks this year to confuse everyone. So without the update your computer won't try to change the clock for three more weeks.
-
EDIT: nvm, i downloaded it and ran it and it said i already had a daylight savings thing, probably from auto update

Happy to read this was of use to a few folks.

My XP Pro install did not have this update. I connected to time.windows.com to try to adjust the time for DST but it did not. I downloaded the fix and it worked. Thanks grumpy!
EDIT: How is post time calculated? Is it dependent on the NBR server's system time or the client computer's system time or a neutral time server's reported local time? 'Cause this post's time says 10:34 AM and it's supposed to be 11:34 AM with DST. -

I am running Windows XP Home SP2.
My computers clock changed correctly by itself.
Is your system ready for the Daylight Savings time SUNDAY?
