So I'm having this odd issue relating to CUDA & mainly GPU usage; it seems that GPU usage is oddly low, while CPU usage is maxed out. I can't understand why 295.51 drivers are doing this to me, nothing seems wrong with the system. Also Xilisoft shows that CUDA is on, but why is converting a video to qHD taking hours?

What about video engine load as reported by GPU-z?
Also, it's possible that your CPU will do a faster job converting if you have a quad core. -
My GPU usage is under 5% during conversion, but my CPU reaches 100%. I was considering getting the x9000, but it's still costly and I want to get a AMD trinity soon.

I'd cut my losses and scrap Xilisoft. According to their product spec, it is working as it should.
You can get the same Multi-Core support from HandBrake (free) and if you want to dabble in GPU assisted encoding BadaBoom does it well (at least Quick Sync, don't have a nVidia to test it on). -
I got Xilisoft due to it being recommended to me for quick conversions, but I haven't seen its greatness yet. And I've tried Handbrake, but when I play the videos(h.264) I would get an error. Also my GPU is OC'ed 500/425/1000, but GPU remains in 2D(170/100/338)?
