According to many people including myself now it seems that itunes 7.6 is horribly slow on vista computers. I was wondering who else has this problem and if they fixed it some how because even scrolling through plain text results in choppiness look. Could it also be driver issues with my computer because i just got it and its a 2.2 ghz processor 3 gb of ram and graphics is 8400 gs so that should be more then enough to use itunes. and if its an itunes problem does anyone have any versions they used before that fixed this? thanks

im having horrible problems with the edition for 64 bit. Everytime i open it is has to configure itself. Then it is pretty slow for awhile while opening.

, but how could going from 2 to 3 GB RAM possibly help something as simple (or it ought to be simple at least) as scrolling through a list of songs, especially when iTunes is using a few hundred Megabytes at the most (and fortunately less than that most of the time) and you've otherwise got plenty of free memory?
iTunes definately has some performance problems with certain Vista system or driver configurations - and I haven't been able to narrow down the source of the problem on my Asus G1S, which uses all the official Asus drivers (made a detour to a more recent Nvidia driver a month or two ago, but after a few BSODs in games I reverted back to the original earlier version - the newer one didn't do any wonders for iTunes either if I recall correctly).
When you get better peformance and responsiveness from demanding 3D games than you do from a music player, you just know something isn't quite right somewhere.
