So I wake up this morning...plug in my Ipod Touch go to launch Itunes so I could buy a specific song in the Itunes Store...and first weird thing is that I get the Itunes Installer Popping Up...Secondly It Tells me "The Installer has encountered an unexected rror installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2330" I've spent all day on here and various site done two windows updates and tried Un-Installing Itunes and I get the same Error Message Un-Installed and Re-Installed Quicktime and still the same freakin error message. Any help guys? oh and Im Running Vista Ultimate 32Bit on a Toshiba X205 SLI3 7200 @ 2.2 2gb ram, Geforce 8600M if that helps

Do you get a file name with the error message?

No sir no file name...just that error message and it quits...I've noticed that I just installed an automatic windows update on the 9th and now ITunes won work the HD-Dvd Player wont work either...I've tried blaming it on that update because everything worked prior to this update being installed. This morning I tried to do "System Restore" prior to this update being installed and I got another error message saying my disk had errors on it and I needed to check it....when I go to check it...I get another message saying a check cannot be done while the drive is in use. Ok no prob I click scheldue for check on the next reboot and nothing hapends the next time I reboot my computer. Thanks for the Help in Advance John...just a bit frustrated my $2300 computer worked fine a week ago now I can't watch dvds or use Itunes on it...wtf!!??

Have you tried to uninstall the update manually?

I'm having the same exact problem (error 2330) but with the Dell Dock program. It was working fine before I downloaded an update. Did you get anywhere with the itunes?

I can't do a system restore for the same reason. It tells me there is an error in drive C and cannot run a scan while it is in use. Then schedule another scan, but the scan never happens. :(

    I'd really appreciate any advice.

I get it too i found a file that i have in quicktime that will not move or be uninstalled. Its located in
    OS:C Drive/ProgramFiles/QuickTime/PictureViewer.Sources/zH_CN.lproj
i wanted the new itunes so i went to itunes to download it and i got error 2330 at 75% completed. It said quicktime is need for itunes so i looked in there and attempted deleting everything to restart from scratch and it wont delete. Btw i got a message while using firefox saying something about ".ini" and i got a same message when trying to open Itunes after.

I have an older laptop by HP. I have had the laptop for around 3 years and i have never had a problem until now. When we were not supposed to use IE(Internet Explorer) recently because of a virus or something i continued to use IE for the reason that FF(Firefox) doesnt work.

Maybe the IE didnt doanything i did install a windows update and i think it messed up after that.
