WinAmp works well with keyboard control. Either the special buttons or user defined hot keys.

what do you mean by iTunes window is not active? if you look at your keyboard layout buttons...the one that has the "Next" symbol, i found that you must hold the FN key and then press the forward or back button to move to the next track. works for me w/out any patches.

    try that.

With not active i mean minimized or behind another window. It's not a FN-key. Its some keys above the keybord. Like the once on a cd player...

ahhhh, i understand what you are saying now.

well...since i don't have a laptop w/ push button media features on my xp laptop then i can not tell you for sure.

however w/ my desktop...i had to install the logitech drivers for the keyboard for it to use the full media capabilities.

make sure you have itunes selected as your "Default music player" and to update/install the most current sound drivers for that Sony.

does the FZ have drivers for those media controls? i would suggest updating those as well.

itunes player works on my desktops keyboard after i installed the drivers for them.

it may work for you on that laptop as well.
