burn as Audio CD, then rip CD as .wav, .mp3, or whatever format you choose. only way I know. I think you can even create an image file (of the Audio CD) and mount that, then rip... so you don't have to waste the time physically burning a disc.

    hmmm, that seems tedious.
I know that there are a immense amount of programs that do this, but the ones that I have downloaded caused me problems, they either needed serials or asked for my itunes logon/password XD

If you're spending a buck a song on iTunes, why would you expect a 'free' convertor? Try Total Recorder. It has a free demo, and can convert with an 8 to 10 time acceleration. If it works for you, as it did for me, pay the $20 and license it.

olyteddy, have you used QTFairUse? I'm guessing you haven't, otherwise you wouldn't recommend a paid application that does the same thing that a free, excellent application already does. It converts all iTunes M4P songs quickly, efficiently, and doesn't require any installation as it's a standalone program that weighs in at a whopping 440kb.

No, actually I haven't tried it. I've had Total Recorder for years and gave up on iTunes when Pepsi stopped giving them away. I use TR for capturing / converting all kinds of streams so haven't needed to try any others. If they start giving iTunes away again I might try it.

If you use TR for more than just converting M4P files, then I agree it's worth buying. However, if someone is just looking to convert their protected AAC files, then QTFairUse is the way to go.
