So, i've had my new notebook PC for a couple of days now and LOVE it. Have had no problems at all. Then this morning i downloaded Itunes from Mozilla and it got stuck. I rebooted and did it from internet explorer. the download went fine, but when i open itunes and try to access the music store, it says connection refused by itunes, check network setting etc. at this point my internet connection is also gone. i have to reboot again to get online, then everything is fine.

Could it be some sort of firewall issue? I used the same email address during the download that i use on my desktop itunes account, could that be the issue? HELP!

Definitely sounds like some sort of firewall issue (that would explain why it isn't able to connect to the music store). Might be a firewall that is blocking these applications from connecting to the Internet.

It's fine to use the same iTunes account (in fact, that is something you should do, since that enables you to use any music you purchase on both computers).

It's certainly possible, the router itself can have a firewall on it that could be blocking traffic to certain apps, etc. Not sure though; my linksys router at least doesn't block iTunes traffic (and actually, I think iTunes traffic goes through the regular web traffic, etc.).
