Hello everyone at Notebook reviews I have a problem with Java software. I tried installing it yesterday and it did not work. I tried re-installing it and everything worked up until the point where it asked me to remove existing Java applications. I clicked yes and it disappeared. It did not reappear. So I deleted Java and tried installing it again. It did the same thing and asked me to remove existing java applications. I clicked yes and it disappeared...again. So I would like to know how I can peacefully download Java without any problems.

    Things to take note of:
    1) Control panel does not work and cannot be accessed.
    2) I am the only one who uses this pc. But for some reason I do not have the rights granted to an administrator. For example I cannot access the control panel but I can still download.
    3) It doesn't download on Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Opera or Internet explorer 7.
    4) I have no clue how to fix this.
    5) My pc specs are:
    IBM ThinkCentre
    Windows XP home
    Pentium 4
    512 MB Ram
    40 gb hard drive

    Thanks in advance.
