When I go on a website like YouTube I get the following message when I try to watch a video:
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player.

I went to the Adobe website and installed Macromedia's Flash Player. I even went to the website a couple times to make sure I have it so I'm pretty sure that this isn't my problem.

The videos played a few days ago and I'm not sure what I could have done to disable JavaScript.

I did a google search to see how to enable JavaScript and found the following:
    Internet Explorer 7
    Open Internet Explorer.
Click on the Tools button (the picture of the gear) or “Tools” from the program menu.
    Click on Internet Options….
    Click the Security tab.
In the “Security level for this zone” box, click on Custom level….
Scroll toward the bottom of the Settings box to Scripting.
    Enable active scripting.
Click OK twice to close the dialogue.
Click the Refresh button after the Address Bar at the top of your browser, or hit F5.

I followed these steps and active scripting was already enabled. So I'm really not sure what the problem is here and how I disabled JavaScript.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Do the movies play in FF, Opera, Netscape, or an older version of IE?

I'll also point out that if I go to YouTube's homepage there's a video that plays on the right. That video plays fine. When I click to view a video the message will come up telling me I need to enable JavaScript.

Youtube may be in your restricted sites zone. Make sure you have JavaScript enabled for the correct zones.

Ideally, you should just get rid of the crapfest that is IE, and use Firefox or Opera.

Thanks dude I had this problem b4 but I fixed it in a decent way to fix most of windows problems... FORMAT
Another trick to install java if you can’t... just create a folder and install it in there... be carefull not to name it program or anything that inculdes the word program .. Example program files!! <-- this won’t work
