This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Okay, so I got rid of the joke blue screen files from the windows/system32 and the documents and settings/local/temp folders (joke_bluescreen is a form of malware), however it modified the display window so I cannot edit the wallpaper. If anyone has read about or experienced the joke bluescreen, you know this is a nuisance.

    Is there a way to reset the wallpaper settings (I currently have it set to my desired picture, but I want the option to do it automatically from the right click on the desktop screen like I used to be able to before the spyware modified this)? I'm using windows XP 32-bit on an Inspiron.

    Do you know when this happened, could you do a system restore to a point before the joke bluescreen.
