    Can someone tell me how to remove this in windows 7? It keeps popping up everytime i open my desktop. I checked online and deleted the 2 java programs on control panel and it still doesn't work.

    what folder is it located in,
    if its in C:\Program Files then try uninstalling and reinstalling Java
    if its in C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 then it may be a virus
    remove like so

    It is a service that checks for Java engine updates. What do you mean when you say "It keeps popping up everytime i open my desktop"?? Are you getting a window that says an update is available, or some error dialog box? Can you post an image to show us what you see?

    You can just shut it off in the options.

    you deleted icons from your control panel?

    Or did you do a proper program uninstall?
