    Okay FF3 is just...being an $%^$%#@ pain.

Everyone now and then it stops loading my webpages. So i close FF3 and try to restart it. It tells me FF3 is already open, so close it or restart computer. So i open up task manager, go to processes, and try to end process on FF3. It doesnt close, no matter what I do. I am eventually forced to reboot.

Im done with FF3, I dont know if this is specific to my machine, or its a wide spread thing - personally im too fed up with it to CARE right now.

So im wondering, what are the popular alternatives to FF3? I know the following from searching:
    Opera
    Safari
    IE

I think im gunna try Opera...any other suggestions?

Go back to FF2, I am waiting to make the switch until the bugs are fully worked out

I like Opera a lot but you will still have to use firefox or IE for some web pages and because of that I don't use it often

Apple has a version of Safari for PC's that has worked well for me

FF3 works fine on every machine I'm running it on... What do you mean it "stops loading webpages?"

Have you tried creating a new profile in firefox? Sometimes they become "clogged" and slow FF down or make it seem like your internet is just not working at all. Making a new one seems to fix the issue. It did in FF2 anyway.

The latest opera is quite polished and Opera was always feature rich. Fast too.

Lak, hold down control when you open Firefox next time...should bring up a profile manager.

Just make a new one and go from there...should fix your problems.

I've been using FF3 since release, since then I can only remember having no more than three crashes occur. It's fast, stable, and feature filled. I'm using it on both of my systems.

If you're having weird crashes wtih Firefox, you'll have weird crashes with Opera/Safari as well.

Try uninstalling, cleanup with CCleaner, reinstall, etc.

I had a lot of problems/complaints with FF3 as well, but different ones. I am not one of those people who hate anything different or new that comes out, I am willing to learn. FF3 seems a lot more bloated and hits my harddrive like crazy when being loaded up. Also I really dislike the way bookmarks/tags/history are being handled. I hate downgrading, so I used FF3 for the last month, and finally I gave up. I downgraded to FF2 and love it. It is a lot faster for me.

It's said it's best to do a complete uninstall using revo uninstaller in advanced mode. (pay attention) You'll also want to create your own profile (besides the default) instructions here

I did what you all suggested.

This time i only had IE Tab addon installed. Still the problem happened!!

FFS; Im starting to think something might be wrong with my windows...this never happened before!

Im on Opera and im gunna stick to it. I love Firefox but I would rather not have to hardboot my computer every few hours.
