No need to feed the troll, it is not the first time he tried to start a XP is better than Vista debate war basing completely on his own experience/opinion. Don't fall for it!

This entire topic feels like a war with just pawns, there is no order. This pointless topic is not getting anywhere and never will, I see no reason why it should exist.

...something some people won't accept is that Vista needs a little while to adapt - XP works "out of the box" - Vista needsto learn your habits.

Also, Vista works best if you let it superfetch everything after log-in - XP works immediately after log in (except if it falls apart like it did on my old Medion...)

I think some people think that 1 minute every day will make a difference in their life.

If you like XP, by all means use it, but don't tell people for whom Vista works that they should go back to XP - because there are advantages on Vista.

Alright you two :D. Anyway, I take it there was a specific need for you to upgrade to a 64bit OS MaXimus? I remember seeing your XP64 help thread, but I had no clue how to help you on that one.

I'm going to tease you a little on this one, but didn't you say that all us Vista users were fanboys that didn't understand they were drinking kool-aid :p?

Well honestly, I had finally found teh correct teh Vista SATA drivers for 64 Bit, but the surprise comes when I was installing it, it did not accept any of my legitimate XP CD Keys!

Thus, I had to upgrade to Vista 64-Bit to make use of my 4 GB of RAM.

Vista 32-Bit and Vista 64-Bit are intercompatible with the product keys, how come XP isn't? :(

    Thread has outlived its usefullness.

There are many reasons to XP, Vista, OSX, Wind 7, or the many linux distros. Debates on which one is the best gooes no where except leading to constant bickering. Just choose which one matches your needs and/or wants.
