Hi, i've just forgot the avi was in the recycle bin and emptied it. I then just got TuneUp undelete and it can't find the avi file.

I know that the recycle bin doesn't permanantly delete files.

How can I get it back?

    Thanks.

you could try recuva, it`s free, but you should really remove the hdd and put it in an external enclosure or connect it to an desktop as a slave, because while it`s in your notebook every time you install some software you run the chance of the file you want being overwritten if it`s on your os partition.

Also the file name might have been blanked , so try and recover any avi file.

Says who? Actually, it does. Sometimes, if you are lucky, the disk area the file resided in does not get overwritten, so that some recovery software may be able to find the file and bring it back. The chances of that being possible, however, decrease with the size of the file, and with the amount of free space available on the hard drive.

Most likely it was overwritten, meaning it's gone.
