1. Right click the task bar. Click properties. Click customize. Find the battery gauge. Click ''always show''.
2. Do the same thing except you set those icons to always hide. -

Wait, I thought this was XP that you downgraded to.
-
That's definitely not XP in the screenshot.
-
I'm confused.......
-
Maybe the guy applied a vista makeover pack to make xp look lk vista?
-
Maybe he should un-apply it and see if that fixes his problem.
-
the xp i obtained came from a friend and the skin came with it i dunno how to unapply it
is there a thirdparty software i could get? maybe a driver? -
Ok, can you right-click on the 'Computer' icon and select 'Properties', and then show us a screenshot of that window?
-
OK, was the installer text based or did it have a GUI?
-
gui, blue screen in the back Windows Setup in grey, then you selected options.
-
Go buy a copy of xp and then come back. Sounds like you don't own a license in my opinion.
-
Customer's Documents? What is going on with this copy of XP? It's evidently some seriously tweaked version.
-
What the Heck??????
Buy an XP CD, just the cd($10-40) & come back after using that copy.
Just downgraded my inspiron 1520 to xp... have a few problems.
