And it's already broken. I did a fresh install. As in i completely wiped my old version of windows 7 then did it on a clean partition that was reformatted. And now every so often everything's just randomly freezing on me. This didn't happen with the ultimate i got from places no key so i had to do this reinstall. And also it never happened before except in vista after sometime of using it for some time.
It happens with all programs, just completely randomly.
AV Avast, Firewall Comodo. Windows 7 RTM Professional downloaded from the msdnaa site for my school.

Have you done any memory tests, video tests, hard drive test, or any other hardware tests? You might have a piece of hardware going bad.

You might also consider installing another operating system to see if it also has problems, or maybe even downloading the ISO and burning it again, or even doing a repair action using your current Windows 7 disc. You might even want to try installing Windows 7 again, just to see if you have the problems again. Don't install anything but drivers and software that will definitely work with Windows 7, like Office, and do some tests to see if you can replicate the problems. Add software one at a time until you find the problem child.

Try checking for program conflicts. i thought that w7 had been released.lol

I know it's not directly related but when I got my new M1530 last year I was having exactly the same issues with Vista
Turned out to be a duff hard drive -
Run HWMonitor and make sure that all temps are reasonable. Run the Windows 7 memory diagnostic and do a hard disk check.

Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer
Select "create custom view" and select all critical errors encountered in the last few hours or days... -
and unless you got your RTM from a known good and legal source, someone else could easily have messed with it. Anything from embedded viruii to stupid programmer errors are possible.

If you could post your errors, we might be able to figure out what is up. However with it going south so quickly, it sounds like either bad install media (hence bad install) or equipment failing. Once you find that info, you might try posting your equipment build and any other info you can give over on the official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. Chances are they have either seen your issue already, or can give you a fix or workaround for it.

Ok i just did a clean install today. and here's the critical errors i've already gotten. I exported as a xml file. .txt's not working so i hope the xml file's readable and usable by someone on here...

damnit -_- i posted the .xml file. The forums said it was uploaded sucessfully. And now the said log is gone since well had to reformat. Something went crazy with the bootloader, then the partition wasn't performing right. Oh well... go bugs.
