Yup, I love the fact that all you need to do is install K-Lite, It will run everything with its nifty Media Player Classic, you name it:

    - DIVX, 3ivx, ETC
    - FLV
    - 3GP
    - MP4
    - Real Media
    - Quicktime

so you will need absolutely no other app to run any file after installing K-Lite.

I hate it when I am fixing someone's computer, and I find, REAL Player, QuickTime, DIVX Codec (seperate) installed, makes no sense

umm, read my original post, it says the whole story, you need it to play all multimedia files within 1 small player which barely uses any resources. you will not have to install Real Player, QuickTime Player, DivX, etc, seperately

To watch videos. Many movies/videos are encoded with different codecs (DivX, Xvid, etc.), without the specific codec, you will not be able to watch it. For most users, the K-Lite Standard pack is more than enough, it has pretty much all the popular ones.
