Recently i have noticed that Kaspersky 7.0 Internet Security has slowed down the loading times of my webpages. I know that it is Kaspersky because when i exit the program, my webpage loading times is fine. Yet 2 weeks ago it was fine.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

Can anyone help? If not, can anyone reccommond another all-in-one anti-virus/firewall/anti-spyware program?

If you wish to get an almost the same program, try Nod32 by ESET, I've found that it's on-demand(?) scanner doesn't slow anything down when it checks files coming in/out (ie. browsing). If you don't want to pay, try Avira, it's my favorite free AV.

It's because KIS scan your web traffic
    &
Make sure not to set scan all ports option @ Traffic Monitoring page(Port setting)

You can disable the part that scans all outgoing and incoming internet traffic to get faster internet speeds

no, that linkl didnt help at all :( thanks anyway.

I have narrowed down where the problem is, it seems to be under the port settings and which ones need to be scanned.

Any ideas which ones i should untick?

EDIT: ok i found out the problem. It was the "General HTTP 80" port. I have unticked it for being monitored and now all is fine :)

Thanks for your input guys :)
