I am having trouble using Keepass. I seem to be able to enter the data for a new entry OK. I can then use that data to open a URL, but when I then use "perform autotype" it does nothing. So then I tried to define the auto type sequence and put it into the notes section per the notes in the Help section. However, sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't!! So can someone please advise how to do this. Specifically, when you type in the sequence: 1) do you enclose the username in parenthesis, 2) is the "tab" written, or is the tab key pushed, 3) what does the term "some fixed string" mean, and 4) is the "enter" written or do you use the keyboard key for this? I apologize for my ignorance in advance.

Have you tried the FAQ and forums provided by keepass? I would think they would be in a better position to help resolve your issues.

Usually a forum/FAQ on the software provider's website is the best place to ask for help. If you don't get help on that site, come back and post what you tried, recommendations received, etc.
