I want to swap the colon and semi-colon on my keyboard and I don't know how to do it. I don't even know if it can be done so I thought I would ask the experts.

I find I am always using the colon while I am working as I am entering times (hours:minutes) into an excel spreadsheet and I usually have my left hand on a piece of paper running my finger down a list and it is annoying having to always use my left hand to hit the [shift] for the colon. So I suppose the question could have two answers - either remap the keyboard to change the position of the colon / semi-colon or format the cells in excel so that I can enter three numbers and have it convert to an hour and minute format. For example enter 1 2 3 and have excel change it to 1:23.

This is not a huge problem but an annoyance.

Thanks Mats. I created the install file and installed it but now I can't seem to find the keyboard in the keyboard languages section  I am using Win7 64 does that change anything or do I have to shut down the computer and restart?

Found it. Thanks again it works like a charm :)

I just learned of Key Tweak in another thread. Happy to recommend it and it is free. Used it to change my Caps Lock to Shift as I was often pressing it in error.

Thanks Feral1. I used Microsoft Keyboard Creator to create another keyboard and I would recommend it. The instructions are a bit vague regarding how to save it .......... well maybe it was the operator that was a biit vague. But it works like a charm. Thanks to all :D :D :D
