My built in keyboard on my new dell laptop has been acting odd. It works normally, but randomly for a few seconds it will act as if the Ctrl key is being held down. The Ctrl key it self does not appear to be stuck at all and is physically perfect. Would anyone know what this problem is?

Vista acting up or the keyboard is just bad?
I even had Vista reinstall the drivers for the keyboard.

    Any help is appreciated. :)

Call dell and get a new keyboard.

Not yet Dell will have a technician come out to install it this week. I will let everyone know what happens after it is installed and I have done some testing.

Cool! It shouldn't take the Tech' but a short period of time to fix the keyboard. I would assume they should be out to you by Weds? :D

Just wanted to give an update. The keyboard was replaced, but did not help. When I upgraded to Windows 7 though the issue disappeared...

its a software issue guys, like when u press the left click and find the computer performing right click (even if u choose right handed ) , i think its from a virus or so , if u just installed vista again every thing will operate normally

I had installed vista again. Which did not solve the issue. It was not a virus issue.
