I just got a new laptop (specs in sig) a couple of days ago, and of course I'm discovering more and more things on it. One thing I find really irritating is that when I'm pressing & holding down a key, I'm not able to move the cursor using the touchpad. So for example, if I hold down "W" to move forward in a game, I'm not able to "look around" using the touchpad. The computer isn't registering both inputs I guess. Is there a way to fix that? I find it really weird that my old laptop didn't have this issue

    Thanks in advance!

This might be touchpad setup. A lot of people have problems when typing on a laptop where they brush the touchpad and move the cursor. Check the settings for the touchpad. There are two options to look for. One is "Palmcheck" which will have a sensitivity setting you can play with. There might also be a "disable touchpad when typing" option.
