The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Keyboard shortcuts for applications stop working

    After a while, shortcuts for powerstrip or ATi Tray Tools will stop working. Usually this happens after letting the screen turn off due to timeout, moving the mouse it comes back on, then the shortcuts don't work. I have to restart powerstrip, etc, for them to work again. Since it happens with powerstrip and ATT, I was thinking it has something to do with windows.

    Have you updated your keyboard application software? I have noticed that Dell hotkey/touch commands problems are often rectified by updating the quicket software
