hello, at lan parties, i have a tendancy of having my games stolen. are there any good vista compatible programs that let me make an ISO of my games, and still run them off the iso? i used to use the "clone cd" but with newer games i get "please insert the correct cd" errors. i also dot want to get into the hacked .exe files from the internet. Please help, i dont want to have to buy FEAR a third time. =)

    Thanks

EDIT: I am also not looking to pay to much for this software, free would be nice too =)

You could try Daemon Tools (google it) or Alcohol 120% for mounting an ISO. You'll have to rip the iso from your disc using a burning program like Nero or Cyberlink.

Be aware that some newer games will not allow you to run the game from an image, even though it is a virtual dvd drive.

Where are you playing your lan games? If they are at your friend's house then they're not that good. LOL. You can try WinISO to rip the games out and use Daemon Tools but games nowadays have all sorts of encryption that is not possible.

fear was an example of a game that was stolen from me. we play all sorts of stuff, and some times we have "who can get to level x, in 1 player first" tournies.

If you already own the game it's technically not illegal to download the backup image (which probably will mount) ;)
