    I'm using a Lenovo Y450.

My Laptop Display timeouts in 5 minutes or so. This is despite me setting "Never" for Turn off Display option in Power Options.

It becomes annoying when I'm watching movies as every 5 minutes I have to move the mouse.

    Please help thank you.

What operating system do you have? Have you verified you are changing settings for the correct power scheme?

I'm using Vista. I think i'm changing the right power scheme. (Balanced)

Is it possible that the Lenovo Energy Management is overriding the default settings in Power Options?

Maybe. Have you checked the settings there?

Probably. I had to change the settings in the Lenovo power management software for the changes to take effect on my Thinkpad. Also, there are different settings for battery and AC power.
