Hi, I have installed a clean version of Windows 7 onto my Lenovo U410 and am having some driver trouble.

I have installed all the drivers on the Lenovo site and the laptop is running quite well but it is not sleeping/hibernating like it should. When i close the lid, the screen goes black but the processing does not stop and the power is drained really quickly. When left off charger the battery will drain in about 5 hours with the lid closed. I do not believe this is a problem with the battery.
I am wondering what particular driver, if there is one, controls this sleep mode or what i can do to make it conserve battery.

    Thank You.

Where did you get the drivers and did you make sure you got all the driver from Lenovo site for your unit when you did a clean install of windows 7? It sounds like you didn't get all the drivers or they didn't install correctly? What was the site of the drivers you got it from? And after all the install/driver install did you do a auto windows update to make sure nothing was missed?

Could it just be a power setting that isn't set as it should?
