    Laptop Freezes On Welcome screen

    I have a problem with m laptop in that it freezes on the welcome screen after i enter my password, i had my laptop on and it froze whilst browsing th internet, just standard sites. It happened before so i wasn't too worried so i held down the power key and powered my laptop back on. I then chose start windows normally and then the laptop froze in the welcome screen.

    ocasionally it wil run check disk, but to no avail. I have tried safe mode and have tride system restore, to a day before the crash but to no avail.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    What is the make/model of the laptop, and what OS are you running? Also, have you checked in your event logs to see if anything got logged that relates to the problem?
