I was hoping someone could give me some insight into what's going on, I'm guessing the screen is in need of replacement, but before going about doing that I wanted to see if there's a chance that's not the case. This started after I put the laptop to sleep one night, woke up and found it was running like normal out of sleep, however when I opened the laptop the screen remained black and didn't change, I pressed and held down the power button but it would not turn off; so in the end I had to remove the battery to shut it off. Upon turning it back on the screen colours had changed black turned up as red, white was cyan and the screen looked splotchy (see picture)

I have tried disabling the intergrated graphics card, as well as updating it, uninstalling and reinstalling it's drivers, trying a system restore to an earlier time, but nothing has worked.

I do not know if it's important but according to windows action centre the Amd - Display Adapter - ATI Radeon Graphics Card stopped working once on the 17/03/2015, however this screen issue only arose at the end of last week.

    Thank you in advance!

Go to color management and change to another color profile and see.

    Good luck.

Let me guess, you took a screenshot of the issue?

Picture looks fine to me, so I would look towards a hardware fault.
