If your laptop has ever shown a black screen after you closed and then opened the lid again, or booted into a black screen post BIOS your dumps will go a long way in getting it locked down. If you are constantly experiencing this problem it's even more critical.

If you are on build 18362 or later you can use the hotkey to recover (Ctrl+Win+Shift+B) and that will also capture the process dumps.

Currently full dumps are required from any intel based laptop (LGA Included). If you have an AMD based laptop that does this..feel free to chime in but its not what is targeted atm. Due to the nature and size of a full dump you will not be required to upload it anywhere as it can be accessed through other means from the local machine.

If you decided to be a super hero and performed a full dump just shoot me your email in PM~
If you do not know how to do a full dump but still want to be a hero, feel free to PM as I will also need your email anyways and that is better kept private (pref. one associated to windows machine). Any other questions can be tossed here too.

Everyone else can kick their feet back and relax~

    Stay awesome!

Hi Sis. Happy Monday. Are you helping people diagnose and fix this issue for the folks experiencing it, or is it part of some kind of study of the dump files to find a common cause among all affected systems?

Where (what folder) does the process dump file get saved to? Is the the normal C:\Windows folder like an ordinary crash dump for this one as well?

It is to understand who is impacted, and hopefully to narrow down to a consistent repro and hopefully to see what hardware pieces are affected. The " quick fix" for now is that hotkey in the first post for those who are on the proper builds but past that until the data is gathered there will not be a proper fix.

    Edit:
"Where does the dump get saved?" (C:\Windows\memory.dmp)
