After updating my i7-8750H's 630 GPU driver through device manager, I've noticed that my brightness doesn't change.
I rolled back the driver (back to the original Intel GPU driver when I got this laptop) and it still didn't work, even though I've been able to change the brightness before, plugged in or not.
Now, with either the new or old driver, plugged in or unplugged, brightness doesn't physically change, even though the % changes in the battery settings, using keyboard, or through Windows settings. It is basically stuck at 100%.
I've updated every single graphics driver, including my GTX 1060, and "Generic pnp monitor", and also disabled it. Nothing works.
What is happening? All of a sudden I can't change my brightness...

StormJumper Notebook Virtuoso
That would be the driver for your board not a O/S driver. So you have to go back to the manufacture for the computer and uninstall and reinstall the driver again to get that control function back.
