Hi, my problem is simple, my laptop cannot suspend to ram or disk. The screen just turns blank but all the lights stay on, the machine is completely unresponsive and you have to press the power button to shut it down. It can sleep and hibernate fine on Linux though so I do not think it's a hardware problem. It would randomly wake itself up from sleep before but now it cannot even get to the sleep state  . Any pointers to a possible solution?

Go into control panel and open, go under hardware and sound. Open power options and you'll find the sleep and hibernate options you can set. Is this a Dell or ?

They are already enabled. The laptop just dies midprocess. It's a MSI.
