    Hey first off,

If i posted this in the wrong section, i'm deeply sry as im new here and couldn't find the help section. If any mods available pls move it to the right section :x

Now to my issue, my laptop has been running at 100% cpu usage for a long time now but just the past hours after i restarted several times for my net problems, im starting to notice that disavantage. Normally I don't have any problems running like 4 games at the same time on my laptop but just now i cant even properly open one game w/o laptop completely freezing meaning that my music goes rlly slow and it sound robo-ish same that i cant do anything no more on my laptop like closing my game so i'd have to force restart...

I've tested the task manager and closed all uneeded programms still the cpu usage aint going lower

any1 has any solutions for my problem? i'd be thankful

    well these are the sses

also restarting/starting pc takes alot of time usually when on the welcome screen and then a good max 5 min on loading my deskop etc which causes 100cpu instantly

but with the time the lappy is on the cpu goes down somehow no idea why tho as the same applications are still on

I noticed that sometimes google update puts your cpu at 100%. Check for that next time.

Need Resource Monitor results. It will tell you what's using using the CPU and by how much.

Windows key > type "resource monitor"

Open resource monitor and show us (sorted by max CPU) the CPU section.

    Thanks.

Having a large amount of tabs open in Chrome and running an antivirus scan would surely bring your CPU usage up. Try taking a screenshot without both.

Tabs in chrome would be taking up RAM rather than CPU. Still, that resource mon. screenshot will be helpful.

Well, i don't use chrome, i do use opera and firefox and even with 10/15 tabs opened in either of those, my CPU sits at a comfortable 0% usage so i doubt chrome would be any different. If you're playing a video it will use a bit more CPU (very little), but even then chrome isn't the likely explanation. Here's a screenshot of random tabs opened in Opera + CPU usage.

Hm... my firefox opened up with several tabs usually takes up some CPU usage. >_<

You know guys what do I think? That here is nothing to discuss about, that's what.
Unless I see sceenshots which will really prove 100% CPU usage I won't write here anymore. Yeah I saw that task manager's CPU usage schedule showed 100% usage a minute before making screenshot but who knows what was opened that time and was shut down before making a screenshot.

Even more! Looks like it was on purpose opened lots of Chrome windows and Avira scanner. In fact who will launch lots of applications when he needs to show that computer works on 100% without influence of any application???
Sorry lodionx3 but you look like trolling to me. But if I'm wrong I will be happy.

If it's on startup when the 100% CPU usage occurs, I would disable the progams that startup on start one by one to find the culprit. Other than that, looking at the screenshot's, doesn't seem as if there is to much of an issue.

All this speculation as to what is going on is just that, speculation. What we need to see is a screenshot of resource monitor with no other apps running and the cpu spiked at 100%. The output should show ALL processes and be sorted by CPU use.

Anything else is just pointless. The tools exist to show IMMEDIATLY what is the issue. But the tools are not being employed.

Running two different AV software (Avira + AVG) isn't a good idea either.
