Hi, I have an HP 8710w. About 80% of the time I start it up it gives me that screen that asks me what mode I want to start windows into (I use XP btw), because it says it has recovered from an error. I always choose normal mode, and when wondows loads it gives me the usual error that my system has recovered from a serious error and do I want to send the data to microsoft. What could be wrong? I've already done a memory and hard drive diagnostic at that menu you press F10 at to enter.

    Regards
    Thomas

I've seen this happen from a damaged user profile. Create a new one and try it.
