I have a problem with my Lenovo T430 laptop running Windows 7 x64. Sometimes when I put the computer to sleep, the computer does not actual "sleep." The LCD will turn off and the HDD activity light will flash like it is getting ready to go into standby mode, but it doesn't actually go to sleep after waiting for a few minutes. Instead, I have to do a hard shutdown by pressing and holding the power button. Has anybody experience this issue and know if there is a solution? Thanks.

This could be a hardware issue, but let's try some software troubleshooting first. What power plan are you using? How are you putting it to sleep--are you going Start > Sleep, pressing the power button, or closing the lid?
