..and it's driving me fracking bonkers. I've got an Asus laptop with Vista Home Premium on it. I'm using it out here in Kosovo while I'm deployed, and I've been hooking it up to a TV via s-video to watch movies/TV shows/etc on it. Just recently, my laptop has developed this annoying habit of switching the display to the TV whenever I close the laptop lid. For a while it seemed to want to default to the TV display period, but that seems to have gone away. However, this thing where it switches to the TV just because I closed the lid is pissing me off. How freaking hard is it to just use the TV when I tell it to use the &%!*$*% TV?

    Argh!

    Anyone got any ideas?

It's got an nVidia graphics card. I can't find any settings anywhere that effect this behavior. The power settings are set to "do nothing" when plugged in and closing the laptop lid.

I've tried googling but every time I find someone else who is having a similar problem, no one responds and provides an actual solution.

    Also, TMM is off.
