For whatever reason my Lenovo N200 has decided that it needs to wake up between 4:30 and 5:00 PM every day. There's nothing scheduled for that time and as far as I know no hardware has the permission to wake the system from sleep. According to the Power-Troubleshooter entry from the event viewer, the wake source is RTC. Any ideas?

Computers are stupid, they will not do things by themselves, check if you have some schedule setup somewhere like windows updates checkup.
-
Sometimes computers will wake themselves up to reestablish/verify network connections.
-
That's true, but you have to check the box as indicated below, which is not suggested when on battery because it will eat your power;

I've checked everything that can be scheduled (av, updates, defrag, backup) and nothing is set for that time.
Also, after going though the event logs, the wake up time isn't consistent from day to day, so I doubt it's a scheduled event. -

Check your BIOS settings and make sure a wake up from LAN or similar option is not enabled.
-
There's no such option in the bios.

It's able to turn off both wired and wireless to save power if that's what you're after. I've made sure that all networking devices are not allowed to wake the system from sleep.

It's a very limited bios. I can only enable/disable the modem and ACHI and set a password. Absolutely no higher level functionality.

One person having the same exact issue disabled WinTime32 and Hybernation and no more wake.

I'll give that a try.
That fixed it. Thanks.
