Just suddenly this morning, my laptop froze to the acer BIOS loading screen.

So there was nothing to do and f2 didn't open the bios settings or anything so i just resetted by holding the power button.

Now when i turn it on, it seems to be starting up but nothing shows up and then it reboots. And then repeats over and over again.

I know this is not fixable by me, but i want to know what caused it so it would be easier to do something about it.

ps. the laptop has lately been starting up slower and slower untill this happened. (could be just my imagination but i'm pretty sure)

How far into the boot do you get? Past the bios splash screen and then reboot? Is it possible to get into safe mode?

    What OS are you using?

    Nothing at all shows up.

It's just all black untill it reboots.
That's why there's nothing for me to do :p

Ok i just got it working

I unplugged everything including the power cord and suddenly everything works.

Something's still wrong though because the BIOS screen still loads atleast twice as long as normal.
The GRUB(i have ubuntu and vista in dualboot) loads more than twice as long...

I'm afraid to turn it off again lol.

Is there any program or something that i could search for errors or something with?

    edit
One of my usb ports is suddenly in "fault/error" state or something like that and cannot function...
    What is going on lol

    EDIT

ok i think i figured it out...

I just spend like a hour trying to start the laptop again without success after restarting by Ad-Aware.
I even managed to start vista from the GRUB but got BSOD almost immediately.

I was just running out of ideas untill i thought maybe it's hardware issue.
I remember bending around my PSP when it was broken to make it work...

...so i bent the laptop and it worked... lmao.
Everything, BIOS screen, GRUB, windows and everything loaded faster than before.

I guess it's because i use 2 round thingys to adjust the angle of my laptop, and they're probably different size or something.
So over time it probably made something bend in a wrong way and broke everything.
