I have a Fujitsu notebook C2220. P4 2.4Ghz, 512MB, integrated ati gfx card, 60gb hdd, 15"SXGA. I have an OEM version of windows xp pro. I installed windows twice ( clean install ), I'm trying to fix this problem. The computer was working fine for 3 years and this's not the first time I reinstall windows. But, this time after I reinstalled windows ( clean install ) and go to windows update website, it shows an error message, when I go to download java it shows an error message, even when I try to install flash player, it loads the installation page, but doesn't install it. I don't know what's wrong with this thing, I think it has something to do with ActiveX control not being enabled, but why is it disabled in the first place??? I didn't change anything other what I usually do, and I didn't touch the activex control. But, how to fix this problem? I've searched windows website, and googled it but I can't seem to find a way to fix this. The activex control is NOT working for some reason, I don't see that little blue bar under address box when I open windows update/flash download/java download...

hah, turned out it was my router settings :/

I modified them a while back and added the the activex filter, so everything works fine after I disabled the activex filter in dd-wrt.

Since I have my 9400, I tried updating windows in it and it checked for update/downloaded them fine. So, I thought the problem was with the fujitsu notebook since I have no problem with 9400 in doing updates/java/flash. I was in a hurry yesterday cause I was going to sell the fujitsu laptop, but after I fixed the problem, the buyer didn't show up so meh :/
