I know this has been done before...

but now after SP1 for Vista and SP3. what is your overall opinion.

Personally. I have reverted back to XP SP3.

My lappeh comes installed with Vista Business but got sick and tired of the lag in Vista compared to teh responsiveness of teh XPeh!

Add to that. other than looks, for the advanced user, Vista offers nothing that temps meh to install it over XP.

Superfetch, UAC, Ready boost, amazingly high RAM requirements, AERO.

All a bunch of BS that you'll never use.

All vista offers is teh visuals! nothing more! thanks ill pass!

give me on big mac with fries upsized please

Repeat after meh!! XP SP3 FTW!!!

Each has a place, and this thread is conveniently posted right after the rant thread was locked. Rant by proxy?

so you're asking random NBR members who chooses to participate in this poll find some legitimate answers to your questions. are you so insecure of your decision to go back to XP that you need hoards of XP fanboys to confirm and reassure you that you've made the right decision?

no vista vs XP thread fur teh win!!
rep3at aft3r meh! no last time thread FTW!!

Don't start a flame war? You're sounding a bit too biased to be saying that. Each OS has it's ups and downs, it's the users preferences o_O and don't leet speak, or... whatever that is. It's unnecessary, period.

XP at this point has pretty much nothing on Vista (especially 64-Bit) , to be considered superior to it, atleast for a modern system! :)

*sigh* I haven't used Vista much but I didn't have any complaints with it when I did. You do need good hardware to run it, but things have gotten so cheap that really isn't much of a problem anymore. You can get a better lappy that the one in my sig for cheaper than what I paid for 2 yrs ago.

I'm not going to go out there and buy Vista cause I don't see a point. I'm happy with my XP SP2. But if I get a new lappy I probably would just get Vista

I'm surprised that not more people are sick of the lag. Even on a Core 2 Duo there's a lag.

I went back to XP SP3 and loving it.

Does anyone know if the menu latency is better in Vista 64 bit?
