The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i found bing to fancy for me. I suppose I should clarify what I mean. It sort of over complicates the whole searching process.

    I actually felt on the very very small amount of times I have used Bing, It gave me more sponsored links without really indicating to me it was a sponsered link/advert.

    I think this is just the fact I am so used to Google I didn't anticipate it to be different. If that makes any sense?

    has anybody here heard about adblock plus?

    stop what ur doing now and download it (note chrome users: don't download the "ABP beta")

    I use ABP beta, it works for me.. but, it is beta!

    The Beta will use the WebRequestAPI if available (Chrome17 and up), which makes ad blocking much more effective.

    I had the same thought. Gmail is (was!) good but it shouldn't be too hard to copy it. Surprised none of the biggies did it yet!

    The GMail (compact) shows the exact same number of emails in the exact same amount of space.

    very much so...its not like im going to stop using the only relevant email and search engine in the world. they could have said I would be eaten by godzilla I could care less, no one reads those things.
