    Dear All,

Did anyone notice (by any chance) a change in the font / text resolution after the latest Silverlight update?

I'm seeing thinner text, more smaller and crisp pop up window's from program's, etc...

I tried rebuilding the font cache, but didn't help.

I am wondering if it has got anything to do with the Silverlight update because I am seeing this after this update (though I have no idea how Silverlight could mess with system font settings and appearance).

Can someone clarify, for me please? Thanks and cheers.

    Update with some cap's:

Here are some cap's from what I see..

The font's look thin than before (and for example, in SyncBack, few week's back I changed the font to Cambria or something.... but now it's back to something else and also smaller!!)

With Winamp, you can notice how the window' are smaller (for example, the enhancer window used to be more wider!!)

Also, I noticed that one issue I had with Winamp (I had posted about this before - please see here), is now gone.. I can now resize the Winamp playlist window fine, and the dotted line's move along with the mouse pointer and without any offset or whatever.... (see the first cap - dotted line around playlist window)

Hmm, that's interesting. To be honest, I didn't notice this at first, but now that you mentioned it, I have a feeling you may be right: The fonts do seem to appear a bit thinner now. I think I actually like them that way, but I wonder if this is a bug, or if it fixed one. And, of course, it's a mystery how/why the Silverlight update should be responsible for this. I installed it together with a whole bunch of other Windows Updates. Are you sure it's Silverlight that caused it?

Well, I'm not sure if Silverlight is the one which caused it.

(Of course, I could probably uninstall Silverlight and check if things are back to what it was before, but I'm too lazy to do it and I don't like too many install / uninstall's, on my system).

But I noticed it after the latest Silverlight update and I'm wondering if it has got anything to do with it.

Well, I kind of like the new appearance, but there are some that are too small for my liking (Winamp for example, though I'm happy the Winamp resizing issue I had, is now gone - I'm not sure what fixed this issue).

I have checked more program' and app's, and I can confirm the font's are all more smaller, thinner, crisp and sometimes even compact..

    Cheers.

    Update:

Here is another example: bluetooth transfer window... and I have never seen this window like it appears now. It' now wider and all that I described above.

I really don't know what caused these changes!!!!

    I like it, though.

    Cheers
