I would not touch these updates "outside" the framework of MSDN with a 10-foot pole.

And W7 has done a good job with current automatic uodates for RC and RTM.

    Ditto....

and these updates are from Microsoft guys, you need to stop being so paranoid :)

plus, you could always create a restore point if you're afraid, and see if it harms your system or improves things...takes u a few mins to revert back...

but like I said, I have used them and so have alot of my friends they're genuine

There have been a handful of Windows Updates for Windows 7 RTM since August. There was a sizable one just this week, a 20MB "reliability update."

So far, none of the official Windows Update updates have changed the kernel version.

Your little 4shared.com hosted updates are not on Windows Update for Windows 7 x64.

they are not *officiall* out until Windows 7 is released on the 22md of October.

I am giving you the privelage of getting them earlier.

If you don't want, then it's totally your choice ;)

I'll wait for these to hit Windows Update. I also don't see why you have to post which build version of RTM Windows 7 you are using. Nobody cares.

I did 3 times format in 1 week straight for my alptop.
Max record 1 month 6 times format.
While experiment something, format is always needed. >.<

In his signature, it seems as if he wants people asking him how he has a newer build than everyone else so he can point them to these unofficial updates.

on the topic of updates, if you have the RTM build, can you update to SP1 when they release it officially without re-formatting or re-installing

Yes of course. Although it would only install the updates or features that you had not gotten from previous Windows Updates.

A mod should really nuke the links in post #1. There is no telling where the 'code' came from.

Agreed. Sorry, but I think we all understand it is a security issue. Just wait 4 more days.
