    I use launchy on and off but I was wondering, how do I make it search for music in my pc. i started to type the song title and it didn't come up.
    I went to options>catalog tab and added the directory...but that didn't help. is that what you're supposed to do? Idk

    If u have Vista then u dont need it... i also used it for a month..but it slows down my comp while indexing...so i removed it.

    But yes, i loved the concept of Launchy..

    Its best for XP users.

    As for your problem: did u let it Index first? .when ur comp is idle..it will index the music folder.

    * Directory: My Documents
    * File Types: .mp3 .aac .ogg
    "
    u already checked that, right?

    cheers ...

    Did you get what qhn said? That's the key. You have to add the extensions of any files you want to index. ;)

    So you have the correct directory, i.e. C:\Users\Brandon\Music\ and you have *.mp3 in the filetypes?

    I installed "Launchy" (XP) and now want to uninstall it. However, using the "add/uninstall" in the control panel it says I am not able to do this as "Launchy" is running! I can't find out where it is running and doing the "run" or the desk top icon doesn't bring up the program. I tried going into program files and it would not remove from there either. Gives the same message. Any help or thoughts?

    right click on the task bar, and open task manager, then in the processes tab, stop the launchy process, then try uninstalling.

    . Remove Launchy from your startup processes/services.
    . Restart your comp
    . Try removing Launchy again

    cheers ...
