Hey guys I found a website that sells OS keys for really cheap. I just wanted your input as to whether or not its legitimate.

*Moderator Note: I'm removing the link so that we don't help increase it's Google search rankings.*

What do you think? Obviously it's not legit.

It isn't legit as far as we know. I'm going to ask a few of the other moderators but for now I've edited your post to avoid helping that site's search rankings. I've never heard anything about that website and OS keys on the cheap are almost definitely cracked, blacklisted, or illegal usage of volume license keys.

Yeah I'm not too sure about it. I'm doing a lot of research on the site, but I haven't come upon anything negative.

If you're talking about Windows keys on the cheap it's pretty much guaranteed to be a scam.

    Windows 7 SP1 Download Link
    Wholesale Price: US$ 19.99

    Umm... :D

I think only legit links in that site are payment ones.

Last site that tried same and got it's name mentioned here... it's dead now. ;)

OP, it is so flipping obvious. Windows doesn't see for twenty bucks, and you must know that. Any site with such a price is not legit.

I bought a key once for £13 for windows 7. Worked for about a year, then it was flagged as non-genuine.

    So be aware.

If you're a student, Microsoft will cut you a deal. And I've picked up Win XP on eBay for cheap. But yeah, random sites offering that kind of retail value...not legit. :p

Agreed, the only way to get a cheap Win7 key is if you're a (college) student. For example, I could legitimately download Win7 for free (maybe, I've never tried it and it's based by department), or I can go to the campus Apple store (lol) and buy Win7 Home or Pro for ~$20.

these websites, however, are scams. Either they're pirated copies, or simply never work.
